Dog Sitting

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

Every once in a while we get to see this beautiful dog, he’s huge and furry and the girls love him. His eyes are piercing and he always makes me a little edgy, but he is the sweetest dog. The little one would love to cuddle with him all day long but he’s just too big and I’m always scared that he’ll eat her in one bite :) . Click here to see how we worked around it.

Breakfast At Mom’s

Monday, March 28th, 2011

My brother started a new job that requires him to do a lot of traveling.  This weekend he left on his first trip to Brunei but before he left he wanted to have breakfast with the family at mom’s house.

If you are a fan of the show “Friends”, my mom is like Monica, she is always the hostess :-D .  A simple family breakfast turned into an amazing feast including pretty flowers.  I couldn’t fit the whole feast in the shot but this is what breakfast looks like at mom’s house.  Safe travels to my little brother and a Happy Monday to you all!

District Wine – Long Beach, CA

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

I recently became a member of a photography group and last night was my first meet up. Chandra, the group organizer, is someone I’ve known for  many, many years but recently discovered that we have some interests in common… mainly babies and photos…  and similar traveling stories :D .

Chandra decided to put together a little meet up at District Wine in Long Beach, CA.  If you are not familiar with this place I definitely recommend it.  It’s a quaint, cozy lounge in the heart of downtown Long Beach.  The lighting is amazing and the atmosphere is fun. If you are a lover of wine you will love this place.   If you are a lover of wine and romantic dim lighting, then this is definitely your place.  Click here for more images.

Twinkle Toes

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

This past weekend I visited my friend (BFF in today’s terms), it’s always a blast when we hang out.  Whenever we get together there are a total of 8 kids (I only have two, you do the math :-D ).  She has a gorgeous six month old and I just had to take his picture.  He has the face of an angel, click here to see it.

Chin Chin

Monday, March 7th, 2011

My love affair continues.

I was introduced to Chin Chin back in the 90′s and have been in love with it ever since. I dream about it, I plan to visit months in advanced…. there’s one in Vegas, even better! :-D

I met my friends for dinner there last night.  We hadn’t seen each other since last year so it was definitely time to catch up. I convinced them to try this awesome place they’d never been to before, I can be manipulative at times, but I needed Chin Chin yesterday like I need air.  It was a great time with the girls, can’t wait to do it again in about a year… yup, that’s how often I see my friends.

I’m not much of a drinker but this crazy girl sure likes her beer.

These are the best little dumplings on the face of the earth, they are my favorite! They are called Szechuan Dumplings, a must try.

Another favorite of mine, the Chinese Chicken salad.  I’ve tried others but none ever compare to this delicious salad.
