I met Allana and instantly fell in love with her energy, she’s like a petite ray of sunshine…. with muscles…. lot’s of muscles. Needless to say, I could hear my own muscle tone giggling during this two part shoot but it was super fun! She has a six pack and a rock hard booty and she’s earned it, this girl works hard. She even got shiny trophies because of all her hard fitness work.
After we got together the first time she contacted me about wanting to shoot with her “swolemate”, that’s right, swolemate. They’re a match made in muscly heaven. Working with these two was amazing and their dedication and commitment to a fit lifestyle is infectious. Narrowing it down to all these images to share with you was torture, but I don’t want us to cry ourselves to sleep over our missing six packs, so enjoy the show! This photo shoot was a very special one to me because these munchkins were the first kiddos I shot when I began shooting children that weren’t my own. I didn’t have to chase them like I did the last time, they were ready! We shot in Manhattan Beach again, just like last time and had a blast!
41 is the number of years these two lovebirds have been married today. 41 years. Forty one!!!
Every year I am amazed that they make it look so easy but I have seen the work, commitment and mutual respect that keeps bringing them to this place every year. Thank you for giving the rest of us hope.
Remember when you were little you would look up at your dad and think he was the biggest, tallest, strongest guy you’d ever seen? I did. He was bigger than life.
I look around today at the lack of involved fathers in their kids’ lives and feel overwhelmingly blessed to have won the jackpot with mine, I couldn’t have picked a better one myself. He’s kind, he’s thoughtful, he rolls his eyes every time I get a new tattoo but still loves me. He bends over backwards to make his grandchildren happy and will take the shirt off his back if we ever needed it.
Long gone are the days he would take me on road trips and play hopscotch with me on the sidewalk outside our house, but his words of wisdom and encouragement still remain. Yesterday I hugged him like I always do and for the first time he felt smaller in my arms. I stepped back to look at him and it dawned on me how the years have passed. Although the years are beginning to show and I don’t look up at him anymore, he is still bigger than life. He’s been consistent in being the best father in every sense of the word. I love you daddy.
I was presented with the opportunity to work with the amazing Kiara, she’s a professional violinist/violist (I didn’t know violist was a word until then, now I know).
We spent the whole day together collaborating and having a ton of fun. She had a list of different places she wanted to shoot at, first place on the list was the old L.A. Zoo. We only made it to the zoo because this place was sooooo amazing! Hours and numerous wardrobe changes later, magic was made. I had such a difficult time narrowing down the list of pictures to share because I loved, LOVED, every.single.one. Also, she’s gorgeous.
Right now Kiara is on tour with the talented Ariana Grande and my kids think I am the coolest mom on the planet. Check out the band rehearsal before the tour:
I couldn’t be happier to share these images with you. Enjoy!
